Terms of Service: 

Communication, Delivery and Post Production

  • Our preferred method of communication is email.
  • Emails are attended to within 24–48 hours on weekdays between 09:00 and 17:00.
  • All briefs, references and production requirements must be submitted via email.
  • During remote shoots where the client is not present, approval images may be shared via WhatsApp or Dropbox.
  • A 60% deposit is required to secure the shoot date and confirm placement in the post-production queue.
  • Copyright and usage rights for all images remain the property of the photographer until the balance has been settled in full.
  • Changes to the initial shoot requirements made by the client after confirmation will be billed accordingly.
  • Turnaround time for still images: 10 working days.
  • Turnaround time for video shoots: 21 working days.
  • Time is calculated from the shoot date or the date the deposit is received, whichever occurs later.
  • Rush requests for shorter turnaround times are subject to availability and billed at 200% of the agreed fee.
  • Turnaround times may be adjusted if last-minute changes or additional requests are made after production has commenced.
  • Studio F64 will communicate any revised delivery dates as soon as reasonably possible.
  • At the studio’s discretion, shoots quoted over R60 000 may be subject to mandatory production insurance, unless the client provides suitable proof of cover through their own insurer.
Post Production
  • Should the client choose to take post-production to another post house:
    • A flat rate of 25% of the shoot fee will be charged for the supply of RAW files.
    • The client must supply a USB-C SSD hard drive with sufficient storage capacity for the required deliverables.
    • Studio F64 accepts no liability for how an external production house edits or processes files.
    • The studio cannot guarantee that the final outcome will match the colour grading, style or standard displayed in our portfolios.
Usage
  • The use of images and photography quotes covers the photographer’s usage rights only.
  • These rights do not extend to any other parties who may appear in, contribute to, or have claims relating to the content of the image created.
  • It remains the client’s responsibility to obtain all necessary clearances, permissions or releases from third parties, including but not limited to models, locations, trademarks and products, prior to the use or publication of the images.
